Celebrate and be Celebrated! – “Invest in Women- Accelerate Progress”
Yes! Celebrate and be Celebrated. Take it all in. Celebrate yourself and allow the people around you celebrate you. It can never be excessive. Today, we join the whole world to celebrate women of every race, colour, and age and renew our commitment to invest in women to accelerate progress.
Women invest so much of their life and time caring for others- children, ailing and/older family members- amongst other unpaid and “thankless” household jobs, holding them back from maximizing their full potentials in business, politics, and other male dominated sector.
It is for this reason that we must invest more in these strong yet fun and gorgeous beings. Let us break down the barriers of gender inequality at home, school, office, culturally, politically, economically, socially, and accord them the rights they duly deserve- the right to education, to vote, to own properties, to make their own choices, to earn equal wages etc.
Domestic violence, oppression, abuse, and discrimination against women can no longer thrive if we must achieve equality and accelerate the progress of this generation of women and many more after.
Women deserve equal opportunities to enjoy the highest attainable standard of physical and mental health.
